Returns & Exchanges Policy
At Bhagwati Handlooms, our aim is to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. If you’re not completely happy with your order, here’s our policy for returns and exchanges:
1. Eligibility & Time Frame
You may request a return or exchange within 7 days from the date of delivery.
Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to initiate the process.
Returns or exchanges requested after 7 days will generally not be accepted (unless there is a manufacturing defect or other exceptional case).
2. Condition of Items
To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must:
Be unused, unworn, unwashed
Retain all original tags, labels, and packaging
Be in the same condition you received them
Include proof of purchase (invoice or order number)
If an item is damaged, stained, or shows signs of wear, we may refuse the return.
3. Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items
The following are not eligible for return or exchange:
Items marked “Final Sale” or “Clearance”
Custom or personalized items
Fabric sold by the meter (cut lengths)
Items without original packaging or tags
4. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to availability of the new product.
If the desired replacement is of lesser value, we’ll issue store credit for the difference.
If it’s of higher value, you’ll need to pay the price difference.
Exchanges are allowed once per order (i.e., an exchanged product cannot be exchanged again).
5. Return & Refund Process
Once you contact us and we approve the return, you’ll get instructions (and a return shipping address).
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the return is due to a defect or our error.
After we receive the returned item and inspect it, we will process your refund (or exchange) within 5–10 business days.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method (or in rare cases, store credit)
Shipping / delivery charges are non-refundable, except when the return is due to our mistake.
6. Defective or Wrong Items
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery).
Please include photos/videos clearly showing the defect or error.
We will cover return shipping in such cases and offer either a replacement or full refund.
7. Order Cancelation
You may cancel your order only before it’s shipped.
Once the order is dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible.
If an item is out of stock after placing the order, we will notify you and offer a replacement or full refund.
8. How to Initiate a Return / Exchange
Contact us via email: [your support email]
Provide: order number, product name, reason for return or exchange, and 2–3 photos (if relevant)
Wait for our approval and return instructions
Ship the item (with proof of shipping/tracking)
On inspection and approval, we’ll process the refund / send the exchanged item
9. Disclaimers & Notes
Minor variations in color, weave, or pattern are natural in handloom products and are not defects.
Please double-check size and specifications before placing your order.
Return or exchange policies may vary during special sales or festival campaigns — such terms will be clearly stated.
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with our policy.
